1. You can’t spot reduce fat through exercise. Good luck trying. 
2. Your immune system is slightly compromised after your workout for up to 48 hours, so wash your hands after you train. 
3. Just because your heart rate goes up during a squat or deadlift, does not mean it’s cardio. 
4. Strength training burns more fat than cardio due to the higher recruitment of muscle fibers. More recruitment of the muscle means more energy aka calories are being burned. 
5. Steady state cardio 1-2x for 20-30 minutes per week is good for helping you recover in between those really heavy strength training sets. So in other words, if it takes you 5 minutes to recover from a heavy bench press such as 4x5, performing just 1-2x of 20-30 minutes cardio can cut down the rest time you need to bang out another set which means more time added to you life to get other important things done.

MYTH: I bulk up if I lift heavy weights.
FACT: 
1️⃣First, I’ll let you know the minute you start to look like THE HULK. 🤪
2️⃣Second, you have to eat A LOT of calories  and I mean a lot. (For those who say, “oh don’t worry I got that covered”, unless you’re a professional athlete or bodybuilder, I highly doubt that. Strength training alone does not create the mass, weight training actually breaks down muscular tissue on a microscopic level. If you don’t replenish your body with proper amounts of protein and excess calories you will never reach a state of getting “BULKY.” 
3️⃣ Third, did you know it’s much harder to gain a pound of lean muscle than it is to burn a pound of fat? Bet you didn’t know that one. 
4️⃣ Fourth, strength training actually burns more calories while at rest than steady state cardio. This happens due to the recruitment of more muscle fibers within the body. Think of it as, you’re getting more muscle fibers involved and if more is needed, then you will need to expend more energy aka calories.
